On the December 5 live results show of “The Voice,” the bottom three vote getters among the Top 10 artists were, as we predicted, Dave Fenley from Team Blake Shelton and both DeAndre Nico and Reagan Strange from Team Adam Levine. Each was to sing one more song to try and win votes cast by viewers via Twitter. As Strange was too sick to sing, Levine made a personal appeal on her behalf and she won the popular vote to avoid elimination.

Fenley was up first with the 1999 Lonestar hit “Amazed.” As our live blogger John Benutty noted, “It was a really smart song choice for Dave who has struggled to find his groove in the competition. If he’d taken on songs with an emotional core like this he might have sailed into the semi-finals with ease.”
Nico then tackled the 2013 John Legend Grammy winner “All of Me.” As John observed, “I wish he had picked to sing this on Monday because it is the absolute perfect fit for him. He was able to show off the richness of his tone and an incredible range. “
Those watching the show live in the Eastern and Central time zones knew when to vote via Twitter. Fans of these artists in the rest of the country had to rely on social media if they wanted to weigh in with their pick, albeit without having seen the performances.
