Bobby Bones vows he’ll be ‘pretty toned down’ on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ next week

Ask and ye shall receive. Carrie Ann Inaba and 59 percent of our readers want Bobby Bones to chill the eff out with his shenanigans on “Dancing with the Stars,” and he promises he’ll be more low-key Week 3 for Most Memorable Year Night.

“I think it’s going to be pretty toned down next week. I think I have a pretty good story to tell,” Bones told “Extra.” “Hopefully I can inspire some people. That’s the goal next week. They asked for ‘toned down,’ but they were going to get it anyway because I plan to really show a lot of my heart next week.”

SEE Make no Bobby (Bones) about it: Sharna Burgess is ‘mad at him’ for rogue flossing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

After his post-jive freakout on Week 1, the radio personality did some impromptu flossing at toward the end of his foxtrot on Monday, which his partner Sharna Burgess admitted made her mad. He stuck to the choreography for his quickstep on Tuesday, after which Inaba asked him to tone his personality down “just a notch so we can see a little bit more of the form.”

Bones told “Extra” that he thought he toned it down “a little” for the quickstep, but “I guess I need to tone it down a little more.”

If Bones sticks to his word, it would greatly behoove him to keep his wild antics in check. It’s going to get annoying for some viewers if he’s constantly operating at Overly Caffeinated, and we need to see a different side of him on the floor. Besides, you can be entertaining without going crazy.
